Sustainable Streetscape Project – Chicago, Illinois

Interpretive Graphics, Banner and Print Design, Fabrication and Installation

The Sustainable Streetscape Division of Chicago’s Department of Transportation planned and built an experimental, demonstration streetscape not far from downtown Chicago. The purpose of the project was to illustrate ways in which the materials and methodologies used in constructing urban streetscapes could be made more sustainable. In order to tell this story, our office was hired to design banners along the 1.5 mile streetscape as well as interpretive graphics at key points along the street and a walking-tour brochure.
