Interpretive Master Plan; Exhibit, Graphic and Habitat Design, Fabrication and Installation

We were chosen to create all of the exhibits in a new building that was to be the reincarnation of Little Red Schoolhouse Nature Center, the oldest and most heavily attended nature center in Cook County’s Forest Preserve District. We paid attention to the passion and inventiveness of this Nature Center’s first director and the popularity of the original facility and its density, scale and variety. We created a vibrant and human-scaled encounter with live animals, faithfully re-created wigwam, hands-on interactives, and a 400-square-foot, open-air turtle habitat among a variety of other experiences.  It’s been received with excitement!
