We were hired by the Glenview Park District to work with the team at The Grove to re-envision all interpretive and live animal exhibits in The Grove’s Interpretive Center.
The new direction for the building is a focus on Robert Kennicott, a son of the family that settled the site in 1836. Growing up at The Grove, he spent his early years exploring its trails, ponds and streams, which set the stage for a remarkable, though tragically short, life as an explorer and collector of some renown.
Our goal for the visitor experience was to tell Robert’s story and to integrate it with some of the live animals which fascinated him as a young man and throughout his short life.
